Garlic processing line

A typical garlic line runs through the steps below. The steps can change with your product and your goal.

Feeding and sorting
Raw product is loaded into a hopper, checked by eye on a sorting belt and fed to the line at a steady rate.

Washing and sizing
Soil and dry husk are cleaned off with brushes, and the product is grouped by size.

Conditioning
The product is passed through controlled heat and air flow as needed to prepare it for the next process.

Bulb breaking
Bulbs are separated into cloves. The same system is also used for seed garlic preparation.

Skin peeling
The outer skin and husk of the cloves are separated from the product.

Color sorting
An optical sorter removes spoiled, stained or off-color pieces from the belt.

Weighing and packing
The product is weighed to the set weight and packed into net bags.

Transport and custom solutions
Conveyors and elevators link the steps, and custom machines are added to suit the layout.
